Treaty of Lausanne end in 2023.

Turkey had a 100-year agreement  in 1923, which is coming to an end in 2023.

Under this treaty, the Ottoman Caliphate was abolished for a hundred years. The caliphate will be re-established in Turkey after the expiration of this agreement. "

There are many people who believe in the above, and He is hopeful that the Khilafah will be established in Turkey in a few years.

Those who believe in the re-establishment of the Khilafah in Turkey refer to an agreement known as the "Treaty of Lausanne".

They may not even know that the treaty of Lausanne is a caliphate and It did not happen between the Allies. It happened between modern Turkey and the Allies. This agreement proved to be very beneficial for the people of Turkey.

The background to this agreement is that World War I, which began in 1914, had two parties. Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary and Khilafah) (Ottoman) and allied powers (Britain, France, Greece, Italy, Russia until 1917 and the United States from 1917).

The Allies won the war and imposed arbitrary sanctions on the Central Powers.

The Treaty of Sevres of 1920 between the Allies and the Khilafah Under the Ottoman Empire, many parts of the Ottoman Empire such as Syria, Iraq, Hijaz, etc. were divided by Britain, France and Greece.

Many restrictions were imposed on the Khilafah. Just as it is not allowed to have its own air force, the navy and navy are very limited. International waters on the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara

Not owned by the country. This treaty caused great damage to the empire. But the agreement did not last long. The Greek army and the French army came to Asia Minor.

At that time, in 1922, Mustafa Kemal Atatرکrk took command of the army and drove the Allied forces out of Turkey one by one.

Started extracting.

(Keep in mind that when Mustafa Kemal Pasha took over the command of the army, the Khilafah was still in place, the Sultan remained in office, but Mustafa was doing all this without the Sultan's orders.)

When Mustafa Kemal Pasha's power began to grow, the Allies invaded Lausanne, Switzerland.

An agreement was reached with Turkey, which was reached after an eight-month conference. Under this agreement, modern Turkey was demarcated, the Allies lost full control of Turkey, the Bosphorus Street came under Turkish occupation, military restrictions were lifted, and the Allies abolished the punishment of prisoners of war.

Greek Christians living in Turkey and Muslims living in Greece were allowed to move, and those who did not emigrate were guaranteed peace.

(There was no mention in the agreement that the agreement would expire after 100 years.)

(Turkish father), and most Turks still consider him their hero.

It is important to note here that there was no provision in the Lausanne Treaty which stated that the Khilafah should be abolished for a hundred years or completely.

A few days after the Lausanne Agreement, the "Turkish Parliament" itself

The Ottoman Empire was overthrown by But the caliphate was still in place and the sultan remained caliph until he was expelled from Turkey six months after the Treaty of Lausanne. Even after the expulsion of the Sultan from Turkey, the status of Khilafah remained in Turkey. A group from the subcontinent

Mustafa Kamal Pasha was asked to become the caliph, but Mustafa Kamal Pasha did not accept.

Three basic facts:

  • The treaty between the Ottoman Empire and the Western Allied Powers is called the Treaty of Severe.
  • The agreement between Lausanne Atatرکrk, the Republic of Turkey and the West.
  • It happened between the powers. That is, the Treaty of Lausanne had nothing to do with the Ottoman Empire.

The Lausanne Treaty is not a hundred year term at all, it is an indefinite general agreement. There are no restrictions on mineral extraction in Turkey, and the country gets 10% of its petroleum needs from its own country.

Let us now take a look at a brief outline of these two treaties, from which it will be clear that the treaty signed by Atatرکrk was a balanced and triumphant treaty signed by the Ottoman Empire. The agreement reached is in fact a military and political one

Was a document of defeat, which Atat ترک rk rejected after defeating Greek, French, British, Russian and Italian forces on the battlefield, and a new balanced treaty, the Treaty of Lausanne, came into being.
